Basic Info
Name:Alexis Marissa Hill
Birthdate:1989-02-13
Bio
Name: Alexis Marissa Hill
Age: 19
In school: College; Major: Dance
Year: Sophomore

Characteristics, traits and personality: Alexis can be easy to get along with, most of the time. If she gets a bad grade on something, then she usually isn’t the greatest person to be around. Alexis is also very stubborn; something that she will readily admit herself. Her mother says Alexis is ‘her little activist’. She always has an opinion on anything and everything. She’s not afraid to give it to you!

Alexis is an athlete, mostly dance team and hip hop lessons. Which mean; she’s very competitive and determined to succeed in whatever task is in set before her.

When faced with a new situation, mostly meeting new people, Alexis will be the first one to crack a stupid joke just to get a laugh and break the ice. It's her way of not being too serious all the time (much to her parent's dismay).

Brief bio: Alexis is an only child. Spoiled? No. Her parents, Janis and Matthew Hill made sure that Alexis grew up right, knowing the values of hard work and accomplishment.

If Alexis had to describe her childhood in only one word: Average.

Besides normal childhood activities like jumping rope and playing with dolls, Alexis started taking dance lessons. She had seen some dancers on television and tried to emulate them; unsuccessfully at first. Alexis saw how enthralled her daughter was with learning how to dance so she enrolled her in several different types of dance classes. At first it was only hip-hop but it soon grew to so much more. Now it has become her passion in life; and she wants to pursue dance as a possible career after she's out of school.

When Alexis was five and about to start kindergarten, she met Dee (short for Deeana); who would soon become her best friend. They met the week before school started when Dee moved in next door to Alexis. Bonding over a jump rope and some coloured chalk, the two became inseparable. Several years later, when Alexis and Deeana were nine; Deeana's family moved away, leaving both girls heartbroken. They remained pen pals for a couple years, but soon as their lives took different directions, that fell by the wayside. Sometimes, Alexis still misses Deeana.

During the first years of her schooling, Alexis really took to making new friends and getting along with all the people in her class and started branching out into the other classes; even making friends with a few of the older students at her school. She was always a happy child, friendly and able to make people feel at ease and make them smile.
Right before Alexis's twelfth birthday; her parents got a call that would change their lives – at the very least, make it more interesting for a few years. Her dad who worked in San Diego as a movie critic and part time screen writer, received word that the New York Film Academy wanted him to come and teach a class starting that fall.

Moving to New York was a huge change for Alexis, but she learned a lot about herself. She learned that no matter what, she needed to always look out for herself. The fall of her senior year in high school, during her last lesson of the day (aerobics, no less), Alexis fell after slipping on some water in the locker room. Finding herself in incredible pain after several days, she went to her doctor. It turns out, she had two stress fractures in her left ankle.

Alexis was crushed. Her dream of going off to college to study dance was gone. Months of physical therapy followed, Alexis worked harder than she had ever worked before, gaining her strength and endurance for the hard footwork that was involved with hip-hop.

That spring, Alexis interviewed with the admissions board at a small school in Providence, Rhode Island. It was a huge shock to Alexis when she received the large envelope in the mail welcoming her to the school. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would get the chance to make her dreams come true.

Packing her things, Alexis headed for Providence, convinced she could make her dreams come true.
